WELCOME to my BLOG

HELLO VISITOR, welcome to my blog ;
Here is where I have gathered together some very powerful information on health and the information will grow with time.

I have been interested in health and have followed many healthy practices now for 39 years. (That time in itself is a pretty scary thought.) I was very young when I made the decision one day that the latest article I read on health in a womans magazine was going to make a difference in my life. I had recently suffered hemmorhoids and decided that for such a young girl that was unacceptable. Anyways, they (article writers) could not all be wrong could they?

I don't profess to know it all, but I do profess to have really tried. I have had many many great victories and some failures but most of all I have grown and learned much. One of those things I have learned is to listen to someone who knows more than I do.

One other thing I have learned is that I can be of NO help to anybody if I say nothing therefore here on my blog I am speaking up in the hope that someone, maybe many someones, will listen and take action. Whether that action benefits me is of little consequence.

What is of consequence is that it will benefit the action taker.

WEIGHT LOSS : 5 Things that Inhibit

Have you tried and tried to lose those extra pounds or kilos of flab or pork with no results? Maybe you have tried diet after diet, shake after shake, all with the same end result , zilch, zero, nil, nano, nothing.
Have you wondered why your best friend has had amazing results in only a few weeks while you stay the same month after month? Maybe the answer for you is in this article. Here are 5 inhibiters to fat loss along with possible remedies to help you get on the road to a new you.


1.SUGAR SUGAR SUGAR: My number one pick as a weight or fat loss preventer.
Sugar is today consumed in the western world in alarming amounts. Setting aside all other health warnings (of which there are many) of excess sugar consumption we are focusing here on just one health issue only. Obesity or overweight.
The insidious thing about sugar is that its presence is hidden from the unwary consumer. Canned, packaged, bottled and food in jars are prime suspects, usually absolutely guilty.
Coffee and tea if you add 1 or 2 teaspoons of sugar will raise your sugar consumption level for the day quickly. Almost all shop purchased drinks are guilty as charged, not to mention cakes, muffins, donuts, biscuits and sweets.
REMEDY; Of course you know I am going to say severely limit your sugar intake.
I am actually going to go further, and say try to stop all sugar. You can do this if you care enough. Unfortunately most people don’t care enough to get the job done until they have a life threatening health issue.
You can start with your mindset; begin to tell yourself that you will at some stage die prematurely if you continue to eat sugar at such alarming rates. Tell yourself that no (or severely restricted) sugar will be your salvation and that you now ENJOY eating little or no sugar. This can help you if you put the necessary work into it, after all it is a discipline and you CAN DO IT...


2.LACK of EXERCISE:
This is of course obvious to everybody in the fat losing game. Oh how boring, and painful you may be saying.
REMEDY; Let me simply say that there are more ways than one to skin a cat. If you don’t enjoy working out at a gym or any of the other more conventional methods of exercising then try being creative and incorporate exercise into either something you need to do every day or something you love or even both. Example you may love the beach. You can do some jogging for just 10 minutes in the heavy soft sand while you are there. You may have to travel to work daily; you could walk the last 3 or 4 blocks instead of driving or riding. Perhaps you really enjoy a beer with the guys after work. Maybe you could walk or jog to the pub. Make it a rule, first exercise then reward yourself.

3. MALNUTRITION:
This sounds unbelievable but it’s true. Malnutrition can cause stores of excess fat to be deposited on your body. As a Herbalife weightloss consultant some years ago I spoke to a number of young women who told me that this was their problem. Their respective doctors had given them warnings about the way they were treating their bodies. If this is you please please deal with it. It’s extremely dangerous.
Commonly a young busy Mom is so focused on taking care of her family’s needs that she neglects herself. She may not eat until lunchtime and then it may only be a cup of tea and some toast. She may have a reasonable meal at dinner with the family but that is not enough nourishment for anybody. Her body is so starved that when it does get fed it grabs whatever it can and store it as fat because it knows there is going to be another drought tomorrow. There always is

4.ANTIDEPRESSANTS:
Not being a doctor or having any degree in any medical field I will not say anything about antidepressants except that its widely accepted that they inhibit fat loss.
REMEDY: My Naturopath teaches that the Pineal gland which is in the mid brain is the gland that regulates the brain and the way we think. Extra negative thinking can be simply a malfunction of this gland. She has told me that this is the first gland in the line to benefit when one of her patients take the appropriate nutrition she recommends for glands. Some help can be as close as 2 months on the nutritionals but of course for greater improvement much more time would have to be allowed. See below in glandular problems for more information .

5. GLANDULAR PROBLEMS
When I was a child at school there was a very fat boy in a lower class to mine. It was widely known at school that his doctor had diagnosed his problem to be his glands. Obviously his doctor never did know how to fix the problem as that boy remained grossly overweight for his entire high school education.
REMEDY: There are people who know what they are doing in this field, people who are trained in nutrition and natural health. I know one, a Naturopath who teaches that these glands need correct nutrition and there is a way of healing them.
